A Camera in Every Pocket Response

Photography is dying because be able to take photographs have become easier than ever before. Photography in its beginnings was a very complex and time consuming process that would take photographers hours, even days to have a final photo. "Though the first successful picture was developed in 1827 by Niépce, it took 8 hours to expose." Today almost everyone has a camera because they are built into almost every single electronic device. This not only allows everyone to take their own picture but it has caused the industry to die because photographers aren't as needed as much, because people can do it themselves. Social media apps, like Instagram and Facebook have sparked interest to those who seem to be interested in photography.  At a concert, football game, or even school, you will find that everyone has their cell phones out in front of them. "Which brings about another good point, we also have cameras on everything even our phones, the media in 2011 would rather pay nothing for a rubbish photo from a camera phone over a licensed professional image. This too has driven down the price to rock bottom for stock photography(Wilkinson)." I believe that all of this has made photography less special because anyone believes that they can be a photographer, I don't  think this is a bad thing because it is encouraging people to be creative and share what they view around the world, but for those interested in making it into a profession definitely have something to worry about.
